

Fernanda Dias is a Brazilian cinematographer who splits her time between São Paulo and Barcelona. She studied film at FAAP (Fundação Armando Alvares Penteado) and earned a postgraduate degree in cinematography from ESCAC (Escola Superior de Cinema i Audiovisuals de Catalunya). Fernanda has a strong background in editing, and her studies in drama and experience working as an actress for several years have contributed to her work as an artist in the film industry. She has DP'd several commercials, fashion films, and short films, approaching her work with a careful and sensitive vision of the balance between aesthetics and narrative. Fernanda believes in the power of storytelling that balances naturalism and symbolism in everyday life. In 2022, she released her debut narrative film, Let the Sea Take Me, which she wrote, produced, and directed. The film premiered at the Cine Gear Expo in Los Angeles and was a finalist for "Best Independent Short Film" in 2022. It also won the “Best Experimental Short” award from Venice Shorts and the Los Angeles Cinematography Awards. Fernanda speaks Portuguese, Spanish, and English, and she is available for projects worldwide.
