Que o mar me leve • Let the sea take me
Ana is a 17-year-old caught in the turbulent transition from adolescence to womanhood. We find her looking for clarity and solace amongst the depths of the sea. "Let the sea take me" is a very personal project and my debut as a narrative director, which I wrote, directed, edited and produced. The film premiered at Cine Gear Expo in Los Angeles and was among the finalists for “Best Independent Short Film” (2022). It also collected awards for “Best Experimental Short” from Venice Shorts and the Los Angeles Cinematography Awards.
